- Let them understand the body language of the furry dog. Never try to rob their goods even they don’t use them. If the kid understands the signs of irritation of the dog, it helps them keep a space from bad things happening.
- The signs contain ear turn in the backward direction, lips licking, staining and striding around, yawning, showing their teeth aggressively and barking loudly, becoming ductile, and cowering. If any of these signs appear, guide your child to leave or keep a safe distance.

Little kids majorly scream, hug and kiss the dog. Sometimes, these actions make the dog upset and stressed. In this situation, they act defensively. More suitable to keep the little child far from the dog because smaller children are unaware of the boundary and signs of the dog. When an experienced older kid learns how to behave around the dog, it makes a safe surrounding for both. Keep an eye on the condition. Quick steps require to be taken if any such sign appears. If you ignore such signs, it can get escalated to a more threatening condition.
How to move towards a dog?
Always ask the owner before going towards the dog. Let the dog come and smell you. Put a gentle touch on the chest, not on the head. Never put your hand forwards in direction of the dog. They view it as threatening. If a dog approaches your kid, it will be most useful to keep calm and keep a closed hand to the body. Allow the dog to sense and pass by.
Introduction of the dog in the home for first time
Make sure the dog is right for your family, specifically for kids. Some dogs are fitted for kids. Some are not so right. Try to understand your children to know the body language of the dog. In the case of a newborn, make one new timetable for your dog. Maintain it from the first day. Keep the initial intro between dog and kid quick and do it when the kid is calm.
