Cow Injured After 20 Feet Fall From a Cliff

In Dharamshala a cow was found badly injured after falling nearly 20 feet down a steep cliff most likely while grazing too close to the edge or losing her footing on the loose rocky terrain common in these hill areas. She lay trapped near the base of the cliff surrounded by rocks and water unable to move on her own with visible injuries from the impact of the fall. It was a dangerous spot to be stuck in and every passing minute made her situation more serious.

How She Was Found and Helped

A group of college kids passing through the area spotted her struggling near the base of the cliff and immediately knew she needed urgent help. Rather than walking away they gathered together and started figuring out a way to reach her calling out for more hands to help. Word spread quickly and soon several local people joined in along with the Shiva Association team who arrived prepared to handle the difficult rescue. Getting her out wasn't easy the ground was slippery and uneven and she was too weak and frightened to move on her own. The group worked together using ropes and sheer teamwork carefully lifting and guiding her step by step away from the rocky base and up to safer ground. Once she was out the Shiva Association team examined her injuries cleaned her wounds and gave her medicine to manage the pain and prevent infection from setting in. She was then moved to a safe recovery space where she could rest and heal under close watch.

Why This Kind of Injury Is More Dangerous Than It Looks
